Job opportunities

As I look back on my time at the public relations firm, I do have gratitude.  I am grateful for the knowledge and experience gained.  I have learned all about press releases, from writing to coverage (either over the wire or in various publications.)  I know the free posting places and the editors to get content online, as well as in print.  The components of the press release and their many uses, whether it is to gain the eye of potential investors to communicating one's position within an industry, thereby increasing the entities' credibility.  In our everyday world we typically choose to buy where we know the store will be around, increasing our confidence that if there is a problem we would be taken care of, our needs will be meet.

The various forms of content are intriguing from the less wordy press release to the more extensive white paper or the case study.  There is also the trade shows and various conferences that add to the equation.  To get content into media that will be distributed at a show is an added bonus.  Then there is show support, such as arranging media to visit which gets the company infront of editors increasing likelihood of coverage.  Then there is speaking opportunities at conferences that further reputation as an expert within their field.

The explosion of social media has just increased places to increase brand awareness and form a name for yourself.  Even the absent of your presence in such places sends an unwanted message of not being up with the times, a dinosaur of sorts.

I would like to share a quote and offer thanks to my boss and friend always;
At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.

~Albert Schweitzer

Thank you

  2. Just an FYI, I noticed that you posted something new today on my blogroll. However, when I clicked on it, it said that your blog does not exist. I am not sure if you are aware of that or not.
